The Panhandle Kiwanis Flag Project
Now, in it's 20th year, the Panhandle Kiwanis Flag Project works to accomplish several goals. First, to honor our nation of five holidays by helping to display our National Colors around neighborhoods in Coeur d'Alene... Second, to develop a service attitude in various youth organizations in Kootenai County by offer ing them the opportunity to place and recover the flags which provides them with funds for their groups and... Finally, to use the residual for various community projects in Kootenai County that support youth or community goals.
The areas in which flags are distributed are limited to the City of Coeur d'Alene to keep the process simple and limited to a serviceable area. Those areas include: Fairway Forest, Coeur d'Alene Place, The Landings, Best Hill Estates, Fernan Village and the residences off of E. Hayden View Dr. and Lookout Dr. in the city of Coeur d'Alene
If you live in one of the areas above, and want to participate in the flag project, we would love to communicate with you. The cost is $40 per year. Contact the flag project team at flags@PanhandleKiwanis.org.
If you're already taking advantage of this opportunity, it
is that time again to renew your subscription to the Kiwanis Flag that is
displayed in front of your home on holidays. This is a great fundraiser for
local youth groups that do the actual flag placement on five holidays. We will
place the first flag on Memorial Day, May 27th, 2019. Participants this year
are the Coeur d'Alene High School Key Club that we sponsor, American Legion
Baseball and the Coeur d'Alene Youth Hockey Association. You may make a SECURE on-line payment ($40.00) by PayPal, Credit or Debit card, using the Donate link below. Please select the "Flags-2019" option.
